Got Milk Advertising Campaign

I came across an advertising campaign called 'got milk?'

This is how it is described on Wikipedia -

"Got Milk? is an American advertising campaign encouraging the consumption of cow's milk, which was created by the advertising agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners for the California Milk Processor Board in 1993 and later licensed for use by milk processors and dairy farmers. It has been running since October 1993. The campaign has been credited with greatly increasing milk sales nationwide after a 20-year slump."

I took a certain photograph, when i took the photoshoot (below) and it was of my cousin drinking milk. The campaign seemed perfect to try and re-create mey own 'got milk?' advert. The top advertisement is an example of the got milk campaign and the one below is my advert. I like the idea of using my photography for advertisement and may use that idea for my final piece.

Final Piece Ideas

I took some photographs that took inspiration from the photographers i have already looked at and these photos are similar to how i want my final piece to look, i want it to be very photoshopped and colourful. I like the idea of creating an advert or a page of a magazine for my final piece, something very commericial. I'm really happy with the piece of work above that i created, i intended to create a double page spread for vogue but i feel the image works quite well on its own. in the writing i explained where the photographs were taken etc. I like the idea of creating a comercial piece of art for my final piece.

Erwin Olaf

I found that alot of Olaf's work looked similar to Helmo. Using a combinaiton of animals and humans. Aswel as looking at the animal series of work he has done i also found that he has done a lot of advertising and fashion photography which directly links to my title and his bright photographs reminded me of Bruno Dayan's Photographs which i looked at at the start of my project. For my final piece i think i would like to create a photo similar to the one below using a lot of photoshop to enhance the photo and resulting in a glossy comericial piece of work.

Short Film

This film gave me a lot of ideas of how to go about my short film. The film will end with the photographer (who i think i will put in a wheelchair) taking a photo out of a window, of the girl who we perceive to be in the room & a sinister man stadning with her.

This was just an idea after looking at the 'Reebok Freestyle Global Stylist Series – Hong Kong BY EUGENE KAN' work which i posted a little while.
